The Buenos Aires Chamber of Cassation has confirmed the life sentence for Nicolás Pachelo for the murder of María Marta García Belsunce in October 2002 at her home in the El Carmel gated community.
According to an extensive 114-page document accessed by the Agencia Noticias Argentinas, the cassation appeal presented by the defense was dismissed. Thus, the sentence issued in March 2024 was upheld.
In the words of the judicial resolution, it states: "The sentence is confirmed in all its terms." This ruling confirms Pachelo's responsibility in the murder of María Marta and upholds the previously imposed life sentence.
